Emily Stormont, LCSW

 

 

Emily received her master’s degree in clinical social work from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration in 2010.  Since then, she has worked in a variety of communities including Western Wisconsin, Chicago and Baltimore.  Prior to becoming a social worker, Emily worked as a Special Education Teacher.

Emily believes that we must develop an awareness of the forces that influence us in order to affect change in our lives. She assists clients in order to understand the systems and experiences that impact them, utilize their strengths and uncover strategies that will promote growth and well-being. Emily also feels strongly that all people deserve access to mental health services in a space that feels safe and free of judgment.  She enjoys working with a variety of clients and employs a variety of strategies including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, social problem solving and creative strategies based on client need.

Emily currently provides outpatient services at the Oregon location.
