Joe Zeman, LPC

Joe completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at UW La Crosse and his Master’s degree in counseling psychology at the University of Denver. He has experience working with children, adolescents and families facing a variety of challenges such as depression, anxiety and behavioral challenges. He has training and experience using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to work with kids to help reduce symptoms related to past trauma.

Joe works from a strength-based approach, utilizing and expanding upon clients’ existing strengths to help them create the changes they would like to see. He often includes CBT strategies to incorporate various aspects of a person’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in treatment. Joe also recognizes the importance of systemic approaches and includes the individual’s experience of their relationships and environments within their treatment.

Joe provides outpatient therapy at the Oregon clinic office, as well as school based services within the Oregon and Stoughton school districts.
