Katherine Elsing, MS, LMFT

Katherine (Katie) received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood College. While her practice is primarily focused on the individual person and his or her unique needs, a client’s relationships will play a crucial role in the treatment process and therefore partners or family members are often invited to join a session to address systemic issues.

Katie has experience working with children, adolescents and adults battling a wide range of mental health challenges. She has spent several years of her career in crisis intervention, where she has provided assessment and support for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness as well as with those who are struggling with thoughts of self-harm.

While utilizing a solution-focused, collaborative approach to psychotherapy, Katie also recognizes the important connection between the body and mind and often implements mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques when appropriate.

Katie provides outpatient therapy at our Oregon location. She also provides therapy to youth within the Oregon School District.
